The St. John’s University Writing Center is home to Sequoya which is the Literary and Arts Magazine. Those of us in Sequoya love and support the arts, and feel that our purpose is to encourage our fellow classmates to explore their creativity as well as provide an outlet for them to share their best work.
We do this by hosting open mic, workshops, readings and revision meetings. The members of Sequoya gather once a month to discuss and work on recent submissions for the upcoming magazine. We believe that every student has creativity brewing within them, and encourage these students to express and explore themselves as artists.
